Children experience feelings and emotions yet don’t have the vocabulary or cognitive development to express what is happening inside their bodies. While children oftentimes can’t tell you what is going on, their feelings and emotions show up during play. Noted child therapist Garry Landreth once stated, “Toys are children’s words and play is their language.”
